It was good , a bit noisy seeing its in the middle of the night life scene so to be expected.

Location was excellent if you go to party. The staff at the front desk were very helpful and charming.

The water in the bathroom was not very good the shower head wasn't working properly

Spacious rooms, staff were very nice

Although it was new years eve, there was too much noise at any time of day, loud banging, moving of furniture, yelling and shouting.

Good room for a good price, but the hotel was "dormant" and defenitly no up to speed.

We have been in the Hotel several times before. We had a room with a living room and a bedroom.

We booked long time ahead. Despite this the room we got, was not as booked, and not prepared. After complaning we had a room according to our booking next day. This is inconcivable as the hotel was nearly empty. We didn't like that the firealarm during the last part of our stay went off multiple times, including at 4 am for more than half an hour.

The staff is rude, deposit only cash despites the opposite info on booking, no fridge in the room, for 2 people just 1 blanket, drunk guys shouting all night arround in the hotel. When you need to get deposit back, you have to wait for 20-40 minutes as they don’t have the staff for this…

You get what you pay for and expect issues

The "GOOD": - the apartment was very spacious - centrally located and close to a local small city beach (but very noisy as close to the "party street"), easy access to public transport (buses) - balcony (but the view wasn't very interesting, internal patio) - clean in general (but I saw cockroaches in the kitchen!) - very friendly and helpful staff (there were issues with the apartment) - swimming pool (but I didn't actually use it)

The BAD and the UGLY: - the hotel is quite old and needs a general makeover, the furniture is old and needs upgrading, it looks like from the 60/70's?, the sofa was uncomfortable and very hard, the beds were very basic and squeaking, no armchair/s, old and heavy window curtains "stuck" on broken rails almost impossible to move - the balcony doors were old and insecure with gaps between the parts which causes both security and heat protection issues. I imagine they must let in a lot of heat in the full summer and you have to keep the aircon heavy running. We were "lucky" to stay there in the lower season, but in our case, the main issue was the noise. As you can't close the balcony doors tightly you can't block the noise coming from the bars and the nightclubs outside which can be a real issue - There were standalone aircon units in all the rooms (apart from the ones installed below the ceilings which I suppose were inefficient already) and they were extremely noisy when in operation - The KITCHEN had plenty of issues. The apartment was apparently for 4 guests (we were 2), but there were just 2 glasses, one(!) spoon, 2 table knives, and not even a single teaspoon! There was an electric stove and an oven but both disconnected because both had European plugs and the sockets in Malta are the UK style. I had to go down to the reception and ask for an adapter otherwise we wouldn't be able to cook. Unbelievable! There were no cleaning aids in the kitchen, no sponges, clothes, or washing liquid, you have to buy all of that yourself!
